CEAD student clinches 2nd position and one lac amount in all Pakistan Posters Making Competition


Jamshoro 13-Mar-2019: A student of Center For Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD) named Asma Qureshi secured 2nd position in the all Pakistan digital poster making competition organized by a social organization held at Islamabad.

 Titled “Free From Fear” poster making competition was held to create awareness regarding women rights at Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) Islamabad. Four students from Communication Design Department of CEAD Asma Qureshi, Aiman Qureshi, Batool Moti and Aisha Hassan took part in the competition.


Asma illustrated the importance of women education in her digital poster and was awarded 2nd position as well as one lac rupees. The poster of Aiman Qureshi was short listed for display amongst 21 high quality posters from 100 entries of the competition.


 A panel of judges comprised of Shehzil Malik, Nigar Nazar and Samar Minallah shortlisted the posters. The students from National College of Arts Lahore, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture Karachi, Beaconhouse National University, Karachi University, COMSATS and other institutes participated in the competition. Australian Ambassador Margaret Adamson inaugurated the poster competition.
