Theater In Lahore Sealed For Staging Indecent Dance Performance

Lahore's district administration has sealed a theater accusing it was showing indecent dance performance. According to details the district authorities sealed famous Mefil Theater, Lahore, under accusation of staging indecent dance performance of stage performer Nida Chuadhry, while it was also accused that the theater wasn't following the guidelines. Media reports claimed that the local authorities received complains against the theater that it had staged indecent dance performance during a stage play "Yeh Mera Dil Hai." The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Danish Afzal, in this regards told media that those who won't follow the guidelines properly would be punished according to the law. However, in Pakistan this is not first time that some piece of art is accused of indecency, while there are certain groups that consider all forms of art and literature against religious teachings. A lot has been said and written about G.M. Syed, a multi-dimensional personality, was a social worker, scholar, mystic and a political figure all at same time. Syed an important face of Muslim League in 1940s, later became the founding father of modern nationalism and gave the concept of Sindh being an ancient country and Sindhis being a separate and well-civilized nation from pre-historic days.  Believing in the ideology of mysticism Syed faced problems from an early age, as his father was killed; being the only male child in the family young Syed was raised at his hometown Sann, some 68 kilometers away from Hyderabad. He received his early education up to sixth standard at home learning Sindhi, English, Persian, Arabic, and later on Urdu. An American and a Pakistani penned a book titled 'Living Globalized' that brims with serendipity; the central message is along the lines of ‘if you try and extend yourself, you will have happy accidents’. Rare Blind Dolphin Found At Banks Of River Indus Near Kandhkot

A rare blind dolphin was found dead in the Indus River near Kandhkot village of Sindh’s Kashmore district. The locals found blind dolphin dead on the bank of River Indus when they went for wood cutting.  The locals said that blind dolphin might have died due to the poisonous chemical, put by fishermen in water to catch fishes.  Wildlife Protection Department failed to reach the site thus far. Indus River Dolphins are grey-brown in colour, sometimes with a pinkish belly, and measure between 1.5 metres and 2.5 metres in length, weighing a maximum of 90 kg. Blind river dolphins are nearing its extinction due to the government’s lackluster attitude toward the rare species. According to reports, there are fewer than 4000 to 6000 blind river dolphins left and the number is fast decreasing. There is no doubt that Ernest Hemingway was one of the greatest American fiction writers of the 20th century. He was born in Illinois in 1899 and died in 1961, he was a novelist, short story writer and a renowned journalist. Sindh Government Unable To Provide Road Facility To Residents Of Jamshoro

The residents of Jamshoro registered a protest against the local authorities and elected representatives for their ignorance and not solving their everyday problems including pure drinking water and road facilities at Jamshoro Phattak. The residents claimed that more than two years had passed and several complaints were made regarding the maintenance of the Sandose Road that connects approximately eight localities including Village Ramzan Rajar, Village Lakho Faqeer, Village Imam Bux Sethano, Village Chakar Khan Rajar, Village Yar Mohammad Kachelo, and Petaro. The protesters also claimed that PS-81, 82, 83 and NA- 233 was the constituency of Chief Minister (CM) Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, yet it was being ignored continuously from more than a year. Legendary Sindhi short story Writer, Scholar, Teacher, Administrator and founder of Bazm-e-Rooh Rehan Abdul Hameed Sindhi passed away due to cardio arrest at the age of 81 years in Hyderabad early in the morning today. He would be laid to rest in the evening in Naushahro Feroze at his ancestors’ graveyard. Hameed Sindhi was born 0n 12th October in 1939 in Naushahro Feroze district. He did M.A Economics from Sindh University Jamshoro. He  worked as Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Tandojam and Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. He has also served as the Chairman of Sindh Text Book Board Jamshoro, Chairman of the Sindhi Language Authority Hyderabad, Principal of Public School Hyderabad. He did several jobs in different sectors and also attended many conferences in USA, UK, India and Iran.  Hameed Sindhi was author of 11 books and has compiled 10 books in his life.
