Image
Sometimes we put high exceptions from certain people and it hurts badly when those people don't even come nearer to such high expectations. The very same thing happened regarding Mohammed Hanif's session in Fifth Ayaz Melo ongoing at Hyderabad.  Though the session was scheduled on 23rd December, but because of mismanagement or some other reason it was conducted on 24th December. Satirically speaking (which happens to be the favorite genre of the above mentioned novelist) the much awaited superstar appeared on the stage accompanied with his translator Kashif Raza, who was the moderator of the session.  Though there was a switch of gears and the moderator became the speaker, while the speaker became the moderator. The way this entire session was conducted, it seemed that both the speaker and the moderator were having a mock on the audience, the reason might be Sindhi audience in larger number, both the novelist nor the Urdu translator considered that Sindhi audience good

Every nation and tribe is known for its cultural peculiarities, they might be a dress code or food, traditions, entertainment, lifestyle and even games, whether mental or physical games. Such as cricket is a game, which now most commonwealth nations play but it has its peculiarity in England, or baseball is an American game, though nations and tribes are influenced by other cultures and traditions, same is the case with sports certain sports and games have become worldwide phenomena.  Yet, there are many games that are peculiar to certain cultures and parts of the world, likewise there are certain games that are peculiar to the sub-continent. The Pakistan Army on Tuesday said that it was in "a lot of pain and anguish" over the sentencing to death of former military dictator General (r) Pervez Musharraf in the high treason case. "An ex-army chief, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and President of Pakistan, who has served the country for over 40 years, fought wars for the defence of the country can surely never be a traitor," the military's public relations wing said in a statement. It said that the due legal process seemed to have been ignored including the constitution of a special court, denial of fundamental right of self-defence, undertaking individual specific proceedings and concluding the case in haste. "Armed forces of Pakistan expect that justice will be dispensed in line with the Constitution in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan," read the statement. The reaction from the military spokesperson comes after a special court handed the death punishment to

Suhini Paras: A Bold Voice For Women Of Sindh

Image
Whenever I have met her, I have found a smile full of life on her face, she always remains happy and tries to keep people happy. In our society woman is considered to be weak but seeing her I came to know that woman is not weak, and if she has strong will power, even mountains would bow before her, though she always maintains a smile on her face but, there is sorrow hidden deep inside her heart. She has become a unique voice for oppressed and suppressed Sindhi women and stands tall and high against every injustice of the society, she stood against the injustice done to Sindhi journalists at Karachi, she continuously struggles for women's rights in Sindh, we saw her collecting donations for poor cancer patients. Her heart is as beautiful as her name, she is Suhini Paras, a poetess, actress, columnist, media personality, rights activist and a journalist. I had a chance to work with Suhini in two news organizations. While working with her I came to know about her immense love for o

By: Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah ساري رات سبحان جاڳي جن ياد ڪيو، ان جي عبداللطيف چئي مٽي لڌو مان ڪوڙين ڪن سلام ،اچيو آسڻ ان جي (شاھ لطيف) Many of our friends and political parties claim that Bashir Khan never used dine without them, never used to give any statement without their consent. But I won't make any such claim, I am of opinion that humans have both good qualities as well as shortcomings, sometimes certain good qualities of a person overshadow all his shortcomings. The humbleness and down to earthiness were such qualities that made him a great man.  Being a member of political family, I got chance to have closeness with Bashir Quershi, from 1986-87, I saw Bashir Khan overcoming many trails, tribulations, hard times and even witnessed his happiness. Sain GM Syed wrote a book titled "Janab Guzariyum Jin Seen" the book is based on sketches of different people and is categorized into different chapters like my close friends, bureaucrats etc. the
