Famous Sindhi short story writer and dramatist Hafeez Kumbhar has said that every word written during pandemic has importance and it would be recorded in history, be it fiction or non-fiction, when entire world was in chaos, the writers gave hope to the world.  He said this while talking to “WiseSindh,” at Hyderabad. Mr. Kumbhar said that pandemic writings is an important part of European literature, writers witnessed death near them, literature reflected the life full of hardships inching towards death. Sindhi Language Authority (SLA) chairman Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Manjhi has said that he had written a letter to Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan to recognize authority’s research journal ‘Sindhi Boli’ in its category  and soon it would be recognized. Dr. Manhji told that in a meeting with WiseSindh , here at SLA office in Hyderabad on Thursday. He said that previously the journal was recognized by HEC in its Z’ category, but due to inconsistency in publishing during previous administrations the journal was removed from HEC’s list, but as soon as he took over the charge as chairman, he wrote a letter to HEC asking them to recognize the journal once again. Mr. Manjhi said that he would carry on the aim of SLA, that promoting Sindhi language, and in that regard publishing of books, conducting seminars and workshops, up gradation of dictionary and encyclopedia were in pipeline.              ...

Teacher, writer and activist Sarang Joyo, son of renowned poet and scholar Taj Joyo has returned home after he was forcefully abducted from his home at Akhtar Colony, Karachi a week ago, Sarang returned home in wee hours today. Sarang’s return brought a layer of happiness among his family and friends, while many writers and civil society of Sindh have congratulated both Sarang and his father Taj Joyo on his safe return.
