43rd Death Anniversary Of Naseem Kharal Held At Khairpur Mirs: Glowing Tributes Paid To Great Story Writer

 


Scholars and writers paid glowing tributes to great Sindhi short story writer Naseem Kharal, at Arts Council, Khairpur Mirs during “Naseem Kharal Short Story Conference” on 13th and 14th July 2021 during 43rd Death Anniversary of the renowned fiction writer, presided by Prof, Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, and Mr. Naeem Ahmed Kharal, Member Provincial Assembly (Sindh) and brother of Late. Naseem Kharal was Chief Guest.

 

In his presidential note Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibuputo, Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University said that Naseem Kharal in his short life enriched Sindhi fiction with his  stories, which are now Included in the curriculum of all universities. That is an extraordinary achievement of a young writer.

 He said he studied work of Naseem Kharal during his student days and was inspired by him; he was his favorite fiction writer.

   He said that with the support of Khairpur Arts Council, they would play a role in promoting literary activities in Khairpur.

Chief Guest Sindhi Assembly Member Naeem Ahmed Kharal said that the stories of his real brother late Naseem Kharal lead the society.  Explain the disadvantages and shortcomings of society in order to create impetus for social change. 

 

Writer and broadcaster Mukhtar Malik said that the stories of Naseem Kharal were mirror of society. 

 

 He made both rural and urban life the subject of his stories at the same time.  The rural agrarian society was characterized by the attitude of the feudal lords, the tales of the thieves, the plots of property, communal disputes and the old traditions.  His stories seem to be focusing on social realism.

 


Dr. Sher Mehrani, a writer and researcher, said that the stories of Naseem Kharal are a perfect reflection of urban as well as rural society.  His stories have been translated into English and got fame.

 

  Dr. Altaf Jokhio said that Naseem Kharal was a defender and promoter of Sindhi language.  He preserved his language and his eloquent words, phrases and proverbs.

 

  Renowned researcher  Prof. Dr. Mubarak Lashari said that the stories of Naseem Kharal were  perfect reflection of the social fabric.  His stories dipict structuralism.

 


 Writer Sarwar Saif said that Naseem Kharal absorbed rural culture in the stories.

 

  Novelist Yousuf Joyo said that Naseem Kharal was giant story writer and his work should be translated different languages. 

  Renowned novelist Kaleem Butt said Naseem Khalil Naseem Khalil also described the journey of urbanization and city life. 

 

Akhtar Hafeez was a writer of positive social construction. 

 

 Researcher AB Lashari said Naseem Khalil was a great storyteller.

 

  Dr. Mushtaq Phull said that writers like Naseem Khalil are rare today.

 


  Manzoor Ujan, Sanol Gaho, Akbar Shah, Hubdar Jagirani, Taj Sarohi, Akhtar Khokar and Josh Jalbani also addressed the gathering.

 

The President of Arts Council Sanwal Gaho and Secretary Akbar Shah welcomed the guests and presented cultural gifts.  The literary gathering was attended by a large number of well-known personalities, writers and literary friends.
