Sharmila Faruqi Gives Review On Colleen Hoover’s Novel ‘It Ends With Us’

Renowned Pakistani politician from Sindh Ms. Sharmila Faruqi has shared her review on New York Times best-selling author Colleen Hoover’s novel “It ends with us” on her official twitter handle @sharmilafaruqi. Colleen Hoover is best known for adult fiction writing and this particular novel reviewed by Ms. Faruqi was published in 2016.

The novel deals with issue of domestic violence against women in American society, however, the novel has received mixed reviews so far. Ms. Faruqi sharing her thoughts in video on twitter said that:

“When I started reading this book, I thought it was an easy veezy romance, but while reading this book I realized that it touches upon a very important social subject and that is domestic violence.

It is very often when we blame the victim, the woman in a marriage or in a relationship for not working out earlier and why is she putting all that abuse?

Once you read this book, you do realize how difficult it is to walk out in an abusive relationship, especially when there is a child involved, but this is a very empowering novel. Colleen Hoover touches upon this very sensitive subject; in a manner it touches your heart.

The ending of this book is kind of something which tells about the title “It ends with us.” Not many of us are gona agree with the ending, some are going to like it, some are not going to like it, some would have wanted it ended quite differently.

But I think this teaches you a very important lesson that is sometime it is important to take decisions for the betterment of your loved ones, it is important to take decisions to protect your child.”

In the end of video Ms. Faruqi asked her twitter followers to read that novel.
