Ten Million Women In Pakistan Unable To Get Married Due To Different Reasons: Report




A recent report by women’s rights group has claimed that there are more than 10 million ladies in Pakistan, who are unable to get married due to different reasons causing different psychological and social problems among those women.


The report claimed that those ladies, who were unable to get married, fell in the age groups from 20 to 35 years, and there were one million ladies who had crossed the age of marriage and were unable to find a suitable groom.

Furthermore it was mentioned in the report that due to that those ladies were facing various social and psychological issues, while their health was being also affected due to that. Those ladies were facing anxiety, sexual frustration, depression and other behavioral disorders, while they became very much angry even on small things and reacted furiously, claimed the report.

The report mentioning the reasons claimed that the main causes given by those ladies included not finding a suitable groom in family, unable to pay dowry, poor family background and too many siblings waiting to get married, and not a suitable match within the family.    

The report also mentioned that more than one million ladies, who were unable to get married where questioned throughout the country, with equal proportion of respondents from urban and rural areas.
