IBA Might Conduct Screening Test For Lecturer BPS-17 Instead of SPSC Due to Lack Of Transparency
Institute of Business Administration (IBA) might conduct Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) lecturer BPS-17 screening test to maintain transparency, while SPSC has challenged this as it wants to conduct screening test by itself.
In this regards WiseSindh came to know from an inner source of SPSC that courts have directed IBA to conduct the forth-coming screening test instead of SPSC, so that transparency could be maintained, however, SPSC was going to file a plea in this regards in higher courts due to which SPSC's announced tests for lecturer BPS-17 in various disciplines might be postponed as SPSC had already announced to conduct screening test in late February and early March.
It was known that SPSC was going through serious crisis in regards of transparency of tests and results and many a time its results had been challenged in past.
According to media reports in 2013, 2015 and 2018, SPSC results were challenged in Sindh High Court (SHC), lacking transparency. It was reported:
" Sindh High Court issued notices to the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) and other respondents on a petition challenging the 2018 examination results of the SPSC. The two-judge bench headed by Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui also called the record of the examination at the next hearing.
The petitioner contended that the respondents had allegedly violated an order of the Supreme Court by not fulfilling the procedure and alleged that the exam was mismanaged and manipulate by the chairman and others officials of the SPSC by selecting ‘blue-eyed’ candidates.
The petitioner said he was a candidate of the 2018 exam and also an employee of the SPSC and contended that being aggrieved and dissatisfied with the conduct and selection procedure of the respondents who did not consider him for an interview."
In response to this SPSC officials told WiseSindh that the test would be conducted by SPSC, while it would take assistance from IBA and NTS only for invigilation purpose, the rumors that IBA would conduct the test are baseless.
Recently SPSC had announced tests for post of Lecturer BPS-17, in various disciplines of science, commerce and arts groups, and sources have told WiseSindh that SPSC has received more than seven lac applications, to which court directed IBA to conduct screening test instead of SPSC.
