Lahore's district administration has sealed a theater accusing it was showing indecent dance performance. According to details the district authorities sealed famous Mefil Theater, Lahore, under accusation of staging indecent dance performance of stage performer Nida Chuadhry, while it was also accused that the theater wasn't following the guidelines.

Media reports claimed that the local authorities received complains against the theater that it had staged indecent dance performance during a stage play "Yeh Mera Dil Hai."

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Danish Afzal, in this regards told media that those who won't follow the guidelines properly would be punished according to the law.

However, in Pakistan this is not first time that some piece of art is accused of indecency, while there are certain groups that consider all forms of art and literature against religious teachings. The problem with Pakistani society is that people want a secular society, while the state wants to impose religion by hook or by crook.
