Karachi Committee And Imposition of Article 149 (4) Rejected By People Of Pakistan: Dawn's Social Media Poll

People of Pakistan have rejected federal government's decision to form Karachi Committee and impose Article 149 (4) and to take administrative authority from Sindh government, this was rejected in a social media poll created by country's largest newspaper "Daily Dawn".

"Daily Dawn" created a poll on social media i.e Facebook and Twitter, last day in which majority of voters rejected the idea of Karachi Committee and to impose Article 149 (4) so that Karachi, the capital of Sindh, should be handed over to federal government as a separate administrative unit.

"Would it be right decision of federal government to impose Article 149 and use administrative authority. Giving two options:
(a) Yes, and
(b) No."

On Facebook 55k users participated in that survey poll, out of which merely 34% users voted in favor, while a majority of 66% rejected it. While on Twitter 6,790 users participated in the poll, out of which 48% voted in favor, while a majority of 52% people rejected it.

Though there have been many incidents where sentiments of people of Sindh have been hurt especially with concerns to Karachi, the capital of Sindh. however, the latest being, when the Federal Law Minister Faroogh Naseem asked to impose Article 149 (4) of Constitution of Pakistan, form Karachi Committee and takeover powers of Karachi from Sindh government.

To which the people of Sindh resisted claiming they wouldn't allow partition of their motherland. To which Mr. Faroogh replied it was his personal opinion.

Meanwhile people of Sindh have demanded removal of MQM-P MNA and federal law minister Faroogh Naseem from the position as he deliberately misinterpreted the Constitution of Pakistan.
