Sindhi Short Story Writer And Dramatist Ayoob Umrani Critically Injured In Road Mishap Near Sehwan



Sindhi short story writer and Dramatist Prof: Ayoob Umrani has been critically injured in a road mishap on Sehwan Road here on Friday, as he was returning to his home from Sehwan after college.

According to sources and information gathered by WiseSindh, Prof: Umrani got head injury and fracture in arm. Sources claimed that bleeding from nose was not stopping and there was chance that he might go into coma, while the family has decided to shift him to Karachi.


The accident took place on 2:30 pm on Friday near Amri, as a speedy passenger van travelling from Sehwan to Jamshoro collided with a truck due to which six people including women and children died on spot. Among the dead were Mohammad Ameen Solangi, Aijaz Solangi and his seven year old son Mohammad Rahim Solangi, 35 year old Mohammad Mohammad Paryal Laghari, 35 year old Bakhtawar Gharmani and 10 year old Rashda Gharmani.

While 15 people including Prof: Ayoob Umrani, Zaheer Hussain Samejo, Nadir Hussain Samejo, Kulsoom Abro, Farzana Abro, Haseen Parveen, Momina and others were critically injured.
The dead and injured were rushed to Sehwan Hospital, from where several critically injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
