LUMHS Student Case Takes New Turn, Atif's Roommate in Police Custody, SMS Revealed



The murder/suicide case of LUMHS, Jamshoro student Atif Arain has taken a new turn as police have arrested his roommate Rafay, here on Saturday. On the other hand the team of doctors of Civil Hospital has prepared the final postmortem report of Atif, according which the dead body was 12-14 hours old.

In this regards MLO Civil Hospital, Waqar Ahmed Shaikh has claimed that from the injury it could be known that Atif was shot from near distance on the right side, while no traces of chemical or poison have found from deceased's body, while the postmortem report would be delivered to LUMHS administration on Monday.

Meanwhile Jamshoro police have made three arrests in this regards including Rafay, Atif's roommate, Sharif Babar, security guard of private company and Wahid Bux Brohi, security guard of LUMHS. They have been shifted to unknown place.

Police have claimed that they are interrogating the persons, while images of record of mobile messages that night from Atif's phone have also been issued in media and social media. According to that image Atif has sent text to his friend Rafay which reads:

"You should have not gone tonight, as tonight was to be special also for you." In reply Rafay laughed and asked: "Why?" Replying to this Atif said: "You would come to know about it tomorrow."
