Sindh University's Anti-Harassment Cell Closed
An anti-harassment cell established in the University of Sindh to assure female students of protection against harassment, has been closed by the university administration.
Female students of Mehran University, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and University of Sindh expressed concerns over the closure of the anti-harassment cell.
The anti-harassment cell was established after the suicide of Naila Rind, a Sindh University student who had allegedly committed suicide following exploitation and blackmailing.
Rind’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room in SU’s Marvi Hostel in Jamshoro on January 1, 2017. She was a final-year student of the Sindhi department.
