Sindh Government to Challenge Verdict of Handing Over Hospitals to FG: Murtaza Wahab


Government of Sindh has announced to challenge the decision of handing over Jinnah Hospital, NICVD and NICHD to federal government. Provincial Adviser Murtaza Wahab addressed a presser at Karachi here on Saturday.

On that occasion Wahab said that provincial government has decided to go into review petition against court's verdict of handing over Sindh's hospitals to federal government, these three big institutions give free health services to poor people of Sindh. He said that after 18th Amendment portfolio of Health was handed over to provinces, but the control of three big hospitals has been taken away from province and given to federal government.

"On such decision Sindh Government is going for review petition, 1.2 billion rupees have been added to the budget of NICVD, while branches in different cities including Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana are working. PTI government is trying to roll back 18th Amendment, if that is done people would show resistance against it," Wahab added.
