LUMHS Student Atif Arain Committed Suicide: Police Report


LUMHS, Jamshoro student Atif Arain committed suicide, claimed the police report here on Tuesday. The Investigating team in this mysterious death submitted its report to SSP, Jamshoro.

According to police, from the gathered information regarding this case it could be said that Atif committed suicide.

The report claims that Atif was depressed by family issues, while he was also depressed over ailment of his mother. Reliable sources of WiseSindh have claimed that Atif had told his friends about his worries before committing suicide.

It further claims that he stole his father's pistol, and used it for suicide. In this regards, SSP Jamshoro Mohammad Touqeer told that statements of LUMHS administration, Atif's father and uncle and friends were recorded.

He also said that during the investigation police found no clue of involvement of Rafay, who happened to be Atif's roommate. SSP said that the detailed report of this case would be publicized within two days.

It is pertinent to mention that Atif Arain, a student of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro allegedly committed suicide at Al-Sina Boys Hostel Room No: 61 after shooting himself here on Thursday. The post-postmortem report of the deceased was prepared by Dr. Imran Khawaja and Dr. Waqar.
