Attitude of Courts Towards Missing Persons Has Remained Non-Serious: Jalal Shah

Sindh United Party (SUP) chief Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah here on Saturday has condemned the forceful abduction of SUP activist Manzoor Memon from Mirpurkhas and claimed that the attitude of courts towards missing persons issue was non-serious and he hoped that the new Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khoso would take this issue seriously according to the constitution.

In a press statement Mr. Shah claimed that the leaders and activists of SUP were law abiding citizens and they were never involved in any criminal activity.

"From so many years political activists are missing and they are not being presented before the courts, which is an illegal act and violation of human rights. Chaos and harassment in Sindh province is being created by forcefully abducting political activists, writers and journalists. We demand that all the missing political activists, writers and journalists including Manzoor Memon should immediately be released," Jalal Shah added.
