Prof. Inam Bhatti's Last Message On Social Media Before Disappearance


Some 11 hours ago Prof. Inam Bhatti posted from his official facebook account to Global Network For Reseachers that he would be unable to attend the Ween-2019 conference to be held in Istanbul, Turkey as his name was put in the Exit Control List (ECL) and he could not leave the country.

 Prof. Bhatti wrote:

 "Dear fellow organisers researchers and participants of ween-2019
I’m sorry due to some disinformation my name is put in ECL and stoped at Karachi airport to travel to Istanbul.
I hope everything will be managed in my absence.
Contact Dr. Aqeel Ahmed Bazmi.." 

Professor Inam Bhatti of Mehran University of Engineering And Technology (MUET), Jamshoro was abducted by unknown men  from Karachi Airport, he was accompanied with his son Salar.

 Prof. Bhatti is professor of Chemical department, while he is also director of Office Of Research Innovation And Commercialization.

 Sindhi political and social activists including SUP leaders Syed Zain Shah, Roshan Buriro, HRCP activist Prof. Dr. Badar Soomro, SUTA leader Dr. Arfana Mallah, Zulfiqar Halepoto, Punhal Sario and others have condemned the act, fearing it might be another case of forced disappearances and demanded immediate release of Prof. Bhatti.
