Prof. Inam Bhatti Was Getting Threatening Calls Form Unknown Numbers: Close Sources
Aides and sources closer to Prof. Inam Bhatti have revealed to WiseSindh that from several months he was getting threatening calls from unknown and untraceable numbers, while an attempt to abduct him was also made few months back, in which he escaped by skin of his teeth.
Sources closer have also revealed that Prof. Bhatti was being questioned about his frequent foreign trips and the agenda behind them through those phone calls, that caused mental trauma for him and his family.
"Those foreign trips were of pure academic nature, in which Prof. Bhatti contributed his research papers," claimed the sources.
On the other hand different political parties, academicians, and social activists staged protests against forced disappearance of MUET's Prof. Inam Bhatti, who was abducted by unknown persons from Karachi airport.
In this regards Sindh United Party (SUP) and Lawyers' Forum called a protest against this unjust act at Hyderabad on Thursday, in which activists of different nationalist parties including Jeay Sindh Quami Mehaz (JSQM-B) took part.
While talking to press Dr. Naiz Kalani of JSQM, Anwar Khaskeli, Ali Palh and others said that Prof. Bhatti was a writer, educationist and intellectual, he was abducted by FIA officials from Karachi airport, when he was going to attend an academic conference at Turkey, this act was to oppress the intellect of Sindhi people and they demanded immediate release of Prof. Bhatti.
Meanwhile, the teachers' association of MUET also protested against forced disappearance of Prof. Inam Bhatti and called on the general body meeting of Pakistan Academic Staff (PAS) in which Vice President of PAS Prof. Dr. Naimatullah Leghari, Dr. Nek Mohammad Shaikh, Dr. Arfana Mallah, Mukhtair Ali Ghumro, Allah Joriyo Sangi and Prof. Inam Bhatti's father Pir Bux Bhatti were present.
It was demanded in the general body meeting that Prof. Bhatti should immediately released, otherwise they would widen the circle of their protest and boycott the academic process at all the universities.
On the other hand the activists of SUP protested against this unjust act at Kandhkot and demanded immediate release of Prof. Bhatti.
Prof. Bhatti is professor of Chemical department, while he is also director of Office Of Research Innovation And Commercialization. He was abducted by unknown men from Karachi Airport, he was accompanied with his son Salar as he was leaving for international conference Ween 2019, at Istanbul, Turkey.
