SUECHS Residents Demand Free And Fair Audit At least Up To 10 Years

Sindh University Employees Cooperating Housing Society (SUECHS), Jamshoro residents have demanded for free and fair audit of at least up to last 10 years and asked for immediate General Body (GB) meeting after Eid-ul-Azha to discuss water crisis and other problems faced by SUECHS.

In this regards WiseSindh gathered some horrifying facts regarding SUECHS, Jamshoro through well informed and credible sources.

                                             Facts:

1. One tank operational only means water of two days only which can be supplied to Phase 1. (No any storage mechanism for phase 2 from at least 30 years of its development).

2. Only One (motor at Karachi waah,  only one at pumping station) if any one was out of order there was no back up from last 30 years

3. Only One transformer at Karachi waah and only one at pumping station from last 30 years.
4 . Administrator ruled on SUECHS for very long period he sold out 32 Amenities plots.

5. Pure Copper cable was sold which worth about 36 lac rupees that time.

6. In March 2019 the new administration took over SUECHS having 8 lac rupees in account from which they had to pay 4 lac rupees against salaries and tractor repairs etc.

7. No Financial record was handed over to the new administration and on only Rupees 70000/- Commercial Plaza NOC issued. 

8. 6" Diameter main pipe line installed to fill the water tank which was punctured with not less than 100 illegal water connections on which many people took bribe and commission.

9. 274 illegal shops, hotels and plazas were constructed.

10. Water was theft and streets were occupied main line was encroached rooms and servant quarters were made on main line. 

11. Phase 2  have no drainage and no water system from last at least 30 years.

                              Management Crisis:

WiseSindh also came to know that a management crisis was created as some of the managing committee members' vested interests were not served by the present administration and the members of MC pressurized the chairman and the secretary.

 But the residents resisted to such an illegal move and restored the secretary and an urgent meeting was called on August 2nd 2019. In that meeting following resolutions were passed:

"In an emergency meeting held at 9:30 pm on 2nd August, outside the SUECHS office, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted by a large number of the participants:

1. Forced resingnation obtained from Mr. Usman Butt and Dr. Legari by the so called managing committee of the SUECHS at midnight in the house of  Sarfraz Solangi is unlawful and calls for a legal action. Therefore Mr. Usman was asked to continue to conduct as Secretary SUECHS and Dr. Leghari as Chairman as before until the General Body determines the legality of the matter. Mr. Usman was also asked to inform the Bank not to accept any transactions conducted with signatures other than that of Mr. Usman Butt.

2. Istalling Saeed Burdi as Secretary SUECHS, who is not even legal member of the SUECHS is rejected and the members and the residents will not allow him to conduct business as Secretary if he tried to force himself in the office. As illegal  Secretary SUECHS before, he had neither arranged audit of accounts nor called a General Body in four years. As such there are complaints pending against him at several authorities therefore he is not at all trustworthy to be given financial or other responsibility even if he was a legal member of the SUECHS. 

3. Mushtaq Pathan has resigned and the General Body will decide his resignation if it is determined that his election was legal and he is a legal member of a legal MC."

Still SUCHES was facing many problems and the MC carried on their blame game and started passing the buck, facing such a messy situation the residents have demanded for free and fair audit of SUECHS records at least up to 10 years and have also asked to call GB meeting.
