British Airways resume direct flights to Pakistan
After along time there is a good news for Pakistani travelers, who travel by air that British Airways has returned to Pakistan with direct flights from Heathrow London to Islamabad. In this regards the official of British Airways posted on twitter that:
"British Airways returns to Pakistan. Direct flights from London Heathrow to Islamabad’s new airport start in June. A further boost to links between the UK and Pakistan - especially on trade and investment."
It is being said that PM Special Adviser Syed Zulfi Bukhari has played a pivotal role in this decision.
In this regards DG ISPR Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor took on to twitter and responded:
"The dividends of decades long struggle of Pakistani nation and its security forces for restoration of peace and stability in the country are on the way. Thanks to @British_Airways for reviving its flight operations in Pakistan."
The United Kingdom’s national carrier, British Airways, will restart flight operations in Pakistan after a decade, said an announcement by the British High Commission. The operations would start in June 2019, after the opening of new airport at Islamabad.
This return of British Airways flights to Pakistan is acknowledgement that Pakistan is fast becoming a favourite tourist and business destination.
The Government of Pakistan officially thanked British Airways via twitter that read: "British Airways has announced to launch its flight operation in #Pakistan soon."
